After the release of NVidia GTX 1070 and 1080 the most highly anticipated graphic card is from AMD, RX 480. This AMD radeon RX 480 comes in two versions 4 GB and 8 GB. The 4 GB version is expected to be priced at $ 199 and 8 GB version is expected to be priced at $ 229. It really seems to be the best performance for the price - graphic card. This graphic card from AMD is based on Polaris architecture. It uses 256 bit 8 Gbps GDDR5 memory and has got 36 computing units. This RX 480 graphic card is expected to hit market on June 29, 2016.

AMD announced this graphic card on June 1. But over time there has been a lot of rumours on the performance and benchmark of this graphic card. Even after being priced at just $ 199, the performance of this graphic card is expected to be around AMD R9 Fury or GTX 980.

The witcher 3: wild hunt




In the Ultra settings, that is at 1080p resolution and with Intel core i5 6400 processor, this graphic card gave out the minimum FPS of 56 and the average FPS of 70.

Grand Theft Auto 5




At maximum settings, at 1080p resolution and advanced graphic settings, this graphic card shed out the FPS between 37 to 100.

Doom



Even at the highest setting, RX 480 manage to give the minimum FPS of 57 and maximum FPS of 121

Overwatch



At maximum setting, there are no performance problems, as the FPS is over 100

Counter Strike Global offensive



Of all the Benchmarks we have seen till now, this gets the highest FPS - from 200 to 250. Even 1440P or 4K resolution are also playable.

Overall this card looks very powerful and fast. The price is also really affordable. Moreover none of the tested games have been optimized for this card. So, Directx 12 will certainly give a better performance along with new driver.
